The Second Annual MHS Art Club Chocolate Roll Festival will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:00 AM, till 2:00 PM at the Ray Moore Gymnasium in Marshall, Arkansas. ? This year?s Festival and Contest is going to be bigger and better than ever, with the declaration of Searcy County as the ?Chocolate Roll Capital of the World? by the Greater Searcy County Chamber of Commerce in late 2012.

Last years contest had 12 entries, and we are expecting several more this year, as the word of this unique event is really getting around. ? What is really exciting about this contest is that ?YOU? get to be the judge. ?For a small fee, you get to sample and vote on the ?Best Chocolate Roll in the World? by getting to sample all the entries. ? ?This year?s festival is truly going to be an ?event?, ?with music, vendors, food, drink and fun. ?If you don?t get enough chocolate roll samples when you judge the contest, there will also be chocolate rolls for sale that you can take home with you??that is if you get there early.

The Judging begins at 10:00 am, and will continue till about 1:30 pm, or until all the samples are gone. ?Winners of the ?All Things Chocolate Roll? story and photo contest, which was recently sponsored by the Searcy County Chamber of Commerce, and the winners of the ?Best Chocolate Roll in the World?, will be announced at 2:00 pm.
If you would like to enter the contest, there is an entry form that you can download and print at the bottom of this page. ? We are also looking for sponsors for the contestants. ? Sponsors will pay the $10.00 entry fee for the contestant, and will help with ingredient expenses for the contestant if needed. ? Sponsors will be recognized at the event.
This is a very unique contest and festival that we intend to grow so it will be recognized statewide and beyond. ? There is no place on earth except Searcy County, Arkansas that is designated as the Chocolate Roll Capital of the World, and the chocolate roll is something that is very ingrained in the history of our area. ? ?Come enjoy the festival and help us celebrate the chocolate roll!!
